Coming upon a small cave that appears as nothing more than a hole in the ground, the esprite and its two occupants, instantly sank below the surface of the flat horizon leaving only a trail of dust.  The dust slowly settled covering everything in its path including the solar panels of a small mechanical rover that had just inched up to the cave’s entrance.  The rover slowly lost power and died.
